Updated aircraft
777
The Boeing 777 in FGAddon now has the 777 FlyByWire system designed by Octal450. It should closely emulate the real one, within the limitations of YAsim. Certain protections are not modeled due to these limitations. The following is functional:
- Roll Control Law with attitude holding and bank angle protection
- C*U Pitch Law and Trim Ref function with Flare Mode and Autotrim
- Rudder Ratio, Yaw Damper and Turn Coordinator
The flight control system has also been improved, and a trim handler now corrects the auto-rotation behavior brought on by YAsim.
IDG-MD-11
The IDG-MD-11 has received many updates by Octal450 including:
- New detailed electrical and hydraulic systems
- Improved LSAS, Aileron Droop, and autospoilers
- Simulated "Performance Improvement Package"
- Improved Aerodynamics
- Improved 3D modelling (Thanks CaptB!)
- Dial A Flap simulation
- IntegratedSystems being rolled out, allows much more complex systems while taking up less CPU time and thus more FPS!
- X was removed from the aircraft name to better suit the aircraft
IDG-PA28
The IDG-PA28 is getting a major overhaul which has been merging into master. Changes include:
- Brand new Exterior and Virtual Cockpit! (Thanks D-ECHO!)
- New rewritten systems following IntegratedSystems guidelines
- Improved Aerodynamics and Flight Control System
- X was removed from the aircraft name to better suit the aircraft
AI

Iceland
Keflavik Airport (BIKF) in Iceland will be the next default airport in FlightGear 2019.2. There is a team of people improving this island to make it present the best we have when starting up for the first time ;).
D-ECHO already has an improved terrain version (mostly new layouts and some OSM stuff for landcover) at github/D-ECHO/Iceland. What we would need (besides better terrain data, if we can find any, although I think this is currently already very nice) would be objects for as many airfields as we can and maybe some material improvements (e.g. airports still look quite different to what they look IRL).
Please see the Iceland topic topic on the forum for details and maybe it would be good if people also reported the airports they are working on, so we don't get duplicate efforts.

Screenshots
The FlightGear project always needs screenshots, which show features that were added since the last release. These should be of good quality, especially in content and technical image properties. It is therefore recommended to use the best viable filter settings (anti-aliasing, texture sharpening, etc.). More info at Howto:Make nice screenshots.
Screenshot of the Month
FlightGear's Screenshot of the Month May 2019 is New Aviatik to Colmar Sud by LesterBoffo.
If you want to participate in the screenshot contest of June, you can submit your candidate to this topic on the forum . Be sure to see the first post for participation rules. For purposes of convenience and organization, after all the entries have been submitted, a new forum topic will be started containing all shots in an easy-to-view layout.
