The ERCO Ercoupe is a low wing monoplane first manufactured by the Engineering and Research Corporation (or ERCO) shortly before World War II. It was designed to be the safest fixed-wing aircraft that aerospace engineering could provide at the time, and the type still enjoys a very faithful following today.
Ercoupe Model 415-C is a single piston engine plane that entered production in 1940, known for its anti-spin technology. An alpha version debuted with FlightGear 1.9.0.
The Ercoupe is a good craft for people learning to fly who may first have difficulty with the C172P, or Piper PA 28 (G1000), J3 Cub (G1000), C182S (G1000) etc.
