It would be interesting to know, if you use the "download_and_compile.sh" compilation command, how to insert the encoder in the compilation script.--Abassign (talk) 20:05, 12 December 2021 (UTC)

As of today, Linux builds (including builds with download_and_compile.sh) automatically include support for video encoding. See SimGear commit dd61ad8bd0a, as long as ffmpeg libraries are installed on the system. I'll add info to this wiki page about what libraries are required. Cgdae (talk) 21:49, 12 December 2021 (UTC)
