Talk:TerraSync by hand using SVN

i've updated this page to use the new terrasync server url... we need to ensure that the process is updated when other servers come on line so that we look to the scenery.flightgear.org/svn-server page first to get the closest server to us... Wkitty42 (talk) 15:53, 18 April 2016 (EDT)

I think it would be better to ask the user to go to that page first and to copy and paste the correct URL in the commands - do you agree?

yes, pretty much... i was going to add that to the instructions but wanted to make sure how things were going to be done... since there's only the one server right now, it doesn't matter either way, does it? ;) Wkitty42 (talk) 08:52, 21 April 2016 (EDT)
Better to get it right right now in case the URL changes unexpectedly. Let me know when you're sure about the rest of the instructions.

agreed... i've rewritten the page a little bit and fixed up the instructions... they work for me so far... what do you think? is that easier? i'm not sure the best way to represent getting the URL from the cat command so if that should be changed a little bit, i'm good with it... i think we can also remove the out of date macro... Looks good :) Regarding the URL, there's a more general issue - how to style instructions, tutorials, scenery and airplane pages. I'll raise the issue and give a proposal on the talk page for FGW:MOS. -- ElGaton (talk to me) 09:34, 30 April 2016 (EDT)
alright... generally speaking, i provide content and fixes but leave the decorations and styling to others... i barely even know anything about templates and i've done wikipedia stuffs for a long time... no clue as to where to find the or such... not that it really matters ;) Wkitty42 (talk) 10:09, 30 April 2016 (EDT)
