"The Fairchild-Republic A-10 Thunderbolt II is a single-seat, twin-engine jet aircraft designed to provide close air support (CAS) of ground forces by attacking tanks, armored vehicles, and other ground targets. As a secondary mission, it provides airborne forward air control, guiding other attack aircraft against ground targets. It is the first US Air Force aircraft designed exclusively for close air support (CAS) of ground forces."

TODO: Implement "easy mode". Start/stop of the engines.
In the current version, the aircraft simulation starts with running engines. Actually, part of the electrical power system and the APU's operation are simulated. At FlightGear startup, both electrical power and APU are shut down, and there is no external power supplied.
=== Electrical power with APU starting procedure ===
[[Image:A-10-electrical-power-control-panel.jpg|thumb|Electrical control panel]]
First switch the battery on (right console). Then start the APU (the APU start/stop switch is located near the throttle on the left console).
[[Image:A-10-throttle-engine-start.jpg|thumb|Throttle and engine and APU panel]]
As the APU's rpm is increasing, switch the APU generator on (right console again).
Once the APU has a correct rpm and the APU generator is on you should have energy for your instruments (AOA indexer lights on, same for the HSI gyrocompas).
Currently you should have the same result by switching on the left and/or right AC generator wich are powered by the running engines.
