Were you doing those tests using JavaScript or some other language ? As you probably have noticed, I have begun integrating AJAX/MW API support with the instant cquotes script, so that certain articles can be more easily updated in a semi-automated fashion, i.e. referring to

As you can see, it would be relatively straightforward to extend this for different purposes/use-cases, e.g. updating the FAQ, changelog, newsletter etc
