Template:Plink

The following template description is not displayed when the template is inserted in an article.

Goal

This template can be used to add a parmalink, a permanent link, that is linking to a specific revision of a page on the wiki.

Usage

{{plink|title|oldid|label|section}}

The parameters title and oldid are mandatory the other are optional.

title

Page title to link to.

oldid

Reversion id from the oldid= parameter in the URL of the page.

label

Alternative link label.

section

Section heading to be linked to.

Examples

The main page as of the time of writing: {{plink|Main Page|74837}}.

The main page as of the time of writing: Main Page (perm).

The {{plink|Main Page|40957|main page as of December 21, 2012}} demonstrates deleted templates.

Known issues

An old revision of a page linked to will still show the latest revisions of templates and deleted templates will show as red links.
