  does help to have a better line up in the approach even in marginal weather flying
 
   conditions, but it still does not "do" the landing for me", and even if it was done
  I recognize how helpful it is for line up the approach with the runway,  especially
   this is exactly the opposite of what i want "understanding how it does really work"
  in very marginal visual flying conditions !
   in order to be able to "dom" it.
 
   But it does not solve the problem. Becoming depending of  a few buttons in order to
  land properly a plane is --not-- the solution.
 
  For a start, the LOC/ILS tools do not land the plane for you but are an help one to
  go close to runway and then it is still up to the pilots to disengage the autopilot
  and operate the landing on manual control.
 
   ...yeah but there is some plane that have a real auto landing facility like the ...
 
  I do not care !
   I want to be able to dom the whole operation and for this I need to understand how
  it does exactly and really work !
