Montréal – Pierre Elliott Trudeau International Airport
Montreal is the biggest airport in the CZUL FIR. It is also usually used as secondary airport for Toronto and New-York.

Runways
YUL has three runways. The runways are positioned parallel for the 06 / 24's and runway 10 / 28 crosses at the intersection with 06L / 24R
While simultaneous landings can take place on parallel runways, runway 24R is usually used for landings while runway 24L is used for landings of national flights.
Prefered runway usage
The following runway configurations are prefered.
Wind from the south
Takeoff: 24L, 24R (on request), 28 Landing: 24R, 24L for national flights
Wind from the north
Takeoff: 06L (on request), 06R Landing: 06L, 06R for national flights
Runway 10 - 28
Runway 10 - 28 is 7000 ft longand therefore, the shortest runway of the airport. The 10 end is equipped with ILS, with 110.1 used as the navigation frequency.
Runway 06L - 24R
Runway 06L - 24R is 11000 ft long, therefore the longest runway of the airport. This runway is usually used for landing and hor heavy takeoffs. The 06L edge is equipped with ILS, with 109.3 (IUL) used as navigation frequency. At the other end, the 24R edge is equipped with ILS, with 111.9 (IZZ) used as navigation frequency.
Runway 06R - 24L
Runway 06R - 24L is 9600 ft long. This runway is normally used for takeoffs. It is also commonly used fot national flights landings. The 06R edge is equipped with ILS, with 110.5 (IOA) used as the navigation frequency. At the other edge, 24L is also equipped with ILS wich frequency is 110.5 (IMQ).
