I have two suggestions for this wiki page (and I'm a wiki newbie, I hope this is where suggestions are supposed to go).
1. The article should give some meta-information about where the configuration is actually located, and that there's the foo_aircraft-set.xml *and* the preferences.xml file, and how they interact.
2. There are commands that aren't covered by the article, like <target-x-offset-m>
