The atmospheric parameters described here are defined in <tt>[[$FG_ROOT]]/Environment/environment.xml</tt>, but they can be changed in-sim by selecting ''Environment > Weather Conditions'' from the menu, enabling ''Manually Configure Weather'' and clicking the ''Manual Configuration...'' button. When you want to start FlightGear with the default weather settings mentioned above you have to take care about disabling METAR Data (look into the <tt>environment.xml</tt> file under metar-updates-... and set them to false).
