I'm pjedvaj on the official Forum, Wiki, SVN and FGUK. I've been active developer from 2010 and had a chance to learn a lot about 3D modeling, illustration and programming with the help of FlightGear community.
About me
I've got interested in aviation in the early '90s during the Croatian War of Independence. Since then I was making wooden models and plastic kits, painting aviation art and even tried as a military pilot cadet in 1998.
Me and FlightGear
First time I've noticed FlightGear in a repository of a GNU/Linux distribution. I've tried to run it with no success. In 2010 a developer named xsaint contacted me about permission to use my SketchUp model in FlightGear and with his patience and help I was hooked. At first I was just modeling, later I've learned to texture, animate and even make simple FDMs. It was a nudge to get my degree as a 3D designer and to learn programming.
Me and the FlightGear community
I've spent a lot of time on forum and wiki trying to learn more. Meanwhile I've met a group of developers that I enjoy working with and moved my hangar and most of activity to FlightGear UK.
My lack of real flight experience
I am no pilot or aviation engineer, even with my military pilot cadet experience. Few times I actually flew was as only a passenger.
What I do on this Wiki
Usually I write articles about my own aircrafts but I would really like to contribute on how to make a aircraft pages and translate Wiki to Croatian.
