The Supermarine Spitfire is a WWII era British single-seat fighter manufactured by Supermarine aviation, and designed by Reginald Mitchell. The Spitfire, along with the Hawker Hurricane, participated in almost all stages of the war in Europe, and was a pivotal aircraft in fighting the Battle of Britain.
