Hi fellow wiki editors!

To help newly registered users get more familiar with the wiki (and maybe older users too) there is now a Welcome to the wiki template. Have a look at it and feel free to add it to new users discussion pages (and perhaps your own).

I have tried to keep the template short, but meaningful. /Johan G

Category name change fix.
The McDonnell Douglas (now Boeing) F-15 Eagle is an American twin-engine, all-weather tactical fighter designed by Douglas to gain and maintain air superiority in aerial combat. Following reviews of proposals, the United States Air Force selected McDonnell Douglas' design in 1967 to meet the service's need for a dedicated air superiority fighter. The Eagle first flew in July 1972, and entered service in 1976.
The Eagle boasts an all-service kill ratio of 104:0. The F-15 downed the majority of Iraqi aircraft in the Gulf War of 1991, and the same in the Balkan conflict of 1999.
