Reminder: FSweekend
A team of FlightGear developers will promote FlightGear to the public at the FSweekend (3 and 4 November 2011), the largest flight simulator event in the world. They highly appreciate it if you are able to stop by at Lelystad Airport (EHLE).

Buccaneer S2
Buccaneer S2
The Buccaneer S2 has been updated to comply with Project Rembrandt standards. Thanks to Alan Teeder it has acquired a HUD: the Buccaneer had what is believed to be the first HUD. It is implemented with Canvas, however, there are some additional features yet to be implemented.

With the assistance of Emilian Huminiuc and some nifty work in Blender we have been able to add some more eye-candy in the form of pilot and observer animations; you will have to look really closely to spot them though.

Some additional instruments have been added, but much remains to be modelled. The status has been updated to Beta.

Easy-GO 2.0
Easy-GO 2.0
So since last post I think we finally found an identity; a virtual airline, sure, but that exists already, although we hope we made a good one. But as this has gone along it has become clear that the most popular ideas were the organized flights and epic screenshots sections. We've arranged accordingly and now the organized flights, epic screenshots, and VA pages have been given equal importance. In the end, you don't join a VA, you join a site for screenshots, group flights, an effective "friends" list, and a VA. None of these categories are mandatory so if you just like taking screenshots or making liveries you're just as welcome as the next person. So we're not trying to make yet another VA with the same old standards; we're trying to make a site that you can make what you want out of it. So we have: Flight club, screenshot gallery, traditional VA, Charter VA and an open opportunity to submit whatever livery you would like to create. If any one of those sounds interesting to share then you might as well join :)  easygova.freeforums.org/

Contributing
One of the regular thoughts expressed on the FlightGear forums is "I'd like to contribute but I don't know how to program, and I don't have the time". Unfortunately, there is a common mis-conception that contributing requires programming and lots of free time. In fact, there are a huge range of ways to contribute to the project without needing to write code or spending days working on something.
