The COM1 VHF / UHF PTR 175 radio is interfaced with the Red Griffin ATC system for frequency management and ATC voice commands. From the menu "Radio COM1 mod. PTR 175" it is possible to reach the main commands of the radio which are duplicated in the pop-up. The radio is switched on via the switch (first tag at the top) and is not immediate, but it takes several seconds to switch on as the radio was completely driven by thermionic valves (heating phase). The radio has a 20-position switch which are: M - G - 1 ... 18 Position M is the manual mode that is controlled by the three knobs at the top. Position G (Guard) is used to manage the radio emergency call on the 243 MHz frequency. The channels, on the other hand, have pre-selected values that can be entered manually and / or automatically in the appropriate 18 input fields. The insertion will be automatic when a value is inserted in "Radio frequencies" COM1. In this way the frequencies can be recalled later by clicking on the appropriate check boxes. The video should explain well what happens in reality.
