The Grob G 109 is a light aircraft developed by Grob Aerospace of Mindelheim Mattsies in Germany. It first flew in 1980. The G 109 was the first motor glider built using composite construction to be granted Federal Aviation Administration approval.

Aircraft help

The Grob 109 can take-off on its own, and under its own power, climb to altitude and can be flown with the engine in operation or not in operation. When the engine is not being used, the aircraft is a true glider and has performance comparable to many popular training gliders.
