Vancouver International Airport is located on Sea Island, in Richmond, BC and is the international airport that serves the Vancouver metropolitan area. It is located about 12 km (7.5 mi) from downtown Vancouver. It is the second busiest airport in Canada.

Runways

YVR has 4 runways and three designated Helipad Areas. Two runways are positioned parallel east-west and the third intersects the 08R/26L at approx 45 deg. Simultaneous departures from parallel runways occur on the east-west runways.
