The Tupolev Tu-154B2-2 is a Russian medium-range jet airliner.

FlightGear's Tu-154 was converted from a model originally designed for Microsoft Flight Simulator by Project Tupolev. Systems and animations had to be re-rewritten especially for FlightGear though.

Download

There are two ways to download the Tupolev Tu-154B-2: as a stable release and as a development revision from the SVN server. The latter is known to be a better option since releases are not created very often. However, keep in mind that due to an additional liveries pack in the development revisions, the SVN version of the Tu-154B-2 is not GPL compliant!

  • To download the stable release, pick the latest package from http://yurik.flightgear.ru/tu154b-release/
  • To download a development revision from the SVN server, proceed as follows:
    1. Download and install an SVN client. TortoiseSVN, for instance, does a good job.
    2. With TortoiseSVN installed, create a folder on your computer. Name it "tu154b".
    3. Right click the "tu154b" folder and select "SVN checkout" from the menu.
    4. In the URL field, insert the SVN link: http://svn.dev.flightgear.ru/tu154b
    5. Click OK. The aircraft is being downloaded in the "tu154b" folder.
When the download is complete, make sure to leave the "tu154b" folder where it is, and simply put a copy of it in your FG aircraft folder. If you move the "tu154b" folder entirely, you won't be able to receive the updates from SVN server and will need to download it again completely.
To download the updates, right click the original "tu154b" folder and select "SVN update" from the menu. The updates are being downloaded from the SVN server.

It was featured in the July 2013 Newsletter, which announced its latest updates.
