The Northern-Italy ATC Controlled Area (NIATCA project or just NIATCA) is an organization that provides ATC services in the north of Italy. It includes the most important airports of the region, also of neighboring nations that are relevant crossroads.

About us

Beginnings (December 2013/January 2014)

The idea of a North Italian controlled area was formed during the Christmas holidays. A small group of two or three ATC controllers (callsigns: USAF_AV, LIPX_TW and LIMCiss) controlled frequently in the same time respectively Aviano Air Base, Verona Villafranca Airport and Milan Malpensa Airport. After some time, J Maverick (USAF_AV) had an idea: creating an organization of ATC controllers to offer services in the Northern-Italy. ...
