Somehow I saw that some of the named parameters in the template was not used, which is now fixed. I also tried to add documentation. However the intended use of three parameters are unclear: folders, topic-sg, topic-fg and topic-fgdata. They seem to be used for different things in the pages that uses the template (a good hint that the documentation is needed). What was their original intended use? Pointing to GIT folders, folders in either SimGear, FlightGear or source folders, just the folder or the source folder?

:thanks for looking into this, it's my fault - I somehow never ended up fixing the template. The originally intended use was pointing to git repositories and the corresponding branches - not just from the main repository, but also cloned/forked repositories that may contain topic branches, i.e. for stuff that isn't currently available in the main repos, such as for example the OSGEarth work: https://gitorious.org/~poweroftwo/fg/flightgear-osgearth - given that topic branches typically require SG, FG and FGDATA, all three placeholders were provided. Originally, I used it in the canvas template, but that ended up as part of the main repo pretty quickly, thanks to Zakalawe. Not sure if it's currently used anywhere else, maybe FOA ? Also, I seem to recall that Gijs wasn't too happy with the way I put the template together -so he may have additional feedback/requests. Again, thanks for your work on this, much appreciated indeed! --[[User:Hooray|Hooray]] 10:12, 5 July 2013 (UTC)

Note: I can easily see this parameter turning into long lists that easily can dominate the infobox on some pages. At the other hand I can see that it could be useful.

Undocumented parameters

Somehow I saw that some of the named parameters in the template was not used, which is now fixed. I also tried to add documentation. However the intended use of three parameters are unclear: folders, topic-sg, topic-fg and topic-fgdata. They seem to be used for different things in the pages that uses the template (a good hint that the documentation is needed). What was their original intended use? Pointing to GIT folders, folders in either SimGear, FlightGear or source folders, just the folder or the source folder?

thanks for looking into this, it's my fault - I somehow never ended up fixing the template. --Hooray 10:12, 5 July 2013 (UTC)

Merge-requests parameter

Note: I can easily see this parameter turning into long lists that easily can dominate the infobox on some pages. At the other hand I can see that it could be useful.
