A KLN89b GPS instrument, based on code committed by Dave Luff, worked in FlightGear version 0.9 or 1.0

There is no clear reason why the KLN89 doesn't appear in the current version of the C172.

Fixing some (hopefully minor) issues may get it to work as originally designed.
