Howto:Contact the developers

There are various ways (and reasons) to get in contact with (one of) the developers of FlightGear.

Always search the wiki and forum before asking for help or asking questions. A lot of time (both on the developer and the user side) can be saved by doing so.

• Mailing list: primary development conversations takes place at the devel-list. If you have questions about FlightGear source your best chances for obtaining answers are here.
• IRC channel: this is the best option for instant help and live discussion.
• Forum: most of the source developers are not (or sporadic) active at the official forum. Therefore, it is not the best way to contact one of those devs. However, most of the aircraft and scenery developers visit the forum on a weekly (and often daily) base.
