Summary

Description (en) Gazelle over Blue Mountains near Katoomba in Australia with signature blue haze (FlightGear 2020.x).

The blue haze is a result of Eucalyptus trees in the area. The trees release Eucalyptus oil which is an volatile organic compound that forms a layer of organic smog. Forests in other parts of the world like the Blue Ridge mountains in USA, or some forests in France or Italy also have this effect.

FlightGear's Advanced Weather is able to simulate smog layers which are rendered by the ALS renderer's light simulation.

This was taken on a 2020.1 nightly.
