Special 3rd party photorealistic scenery of Brest

For over 5 years now, a work has been undertaken to enhance the visual rendering and precision of flying over Brittany in FlightGear.

On the terrain point of view, Brest has been the field of a work on photorealistic scenery under CC-BY-SA licence.

For the scenery part of it, a few hundred VFR points have also been entered in the database. The result can be seen here.

  • All Finistère Windturbines added.
  • LFRJ models added.
  • Layouts revamped: LFRU LFRJ LFRL LFRH LFRO LFRT (sent to database).
  • Powerlines: around Brest, Southern and Eastern.
  • Typical churches added (north Finistère mostly).
  • Generic and static (thanks Vic) lighthouses and signal stations added.
  • Brest pier added.
  • Add Le radôme (Telecommunications museum) near LFRO: done 110814
