'''Important to know:'''
The 737-300 in 1.9.1 and earlier wasn't shaped right: the fuselage was too long, and not wide enough, the wings hadn't got the right span.
This has now changed. Unfortunately liveries done for the old model won't match to the new model. It wasn't possible due to the wrong shape of theold model.  There is a paintkit inside the 737-300/Models-Folder, and with a little work it is possible to convert old liveries.

A correct aircraft in dimensions and proportions is more important than supporting liveries done for a wrong shaped aircraft.
The new model was added to CVS with permission of the original author, Innis Cunningham.

The prototype of the Boeing 737-300 rolled out of the Renton plant on 17 January 1984, and first flew on 24 February 1984. After it received its flight certification on 14 November 1984, USAir received the first aircraft on 28 November. A very popular aircraft, Boeing received 252 orders for it in 1985, and over 1000 throughout its production. The 300 series remained in production until 1999 when the last aircraft was delivered to Air New Zealand on December 17, 1999.

The 737-300 has been a part of FlightGear for several years, and was included in the default installation of FG 0.9.10, but requires downloading for most installations in FG v1.0.0 (see FlightGear 1.0 default aircraft). It is one of the more well developed airliners for FG, with multiple liveries and significant help text.

Liveries

The 737-300 1.9.1 is FlightGears' most repainted airplane. At the moment more than 25 liveries for the 737-300 in 1.9.1 are available. 23 of them are included in one package, making use of the livery selection dialog, which transmits liveries over the multiplayer network.

For releases coming after 1.9.1 the model has changed, the liveries won't unfortunately fit- more information at the end of this page.

Important to know: The 737-300 in 1.9.1 and earlier wasn't shaped right: the fuselage was too long, and not wide enough, the wings hadn't got the right span.
