The Boeing 314 is a 4 piston engine flying boat available for FGFS 1.0.0, with 3D model, 3d cockpit and using the JSBSim FDM.
About the aircraft
The Boeing 314 (Pan American World Airways called it the Clipper) was a long-range flying boat produced by the Boeing Airplane Company between 1938 and 1941 and is comparable to the British Short Empire. One of the largest aircraft of the time, it used the massive wing of Boeing’s earlier XB-15 bomber prototype to achieve the range necessary for flights across the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans. Twelve Clippers were built for PanAm, three of which were sold to BOAC in 1941 before delivery.
