Introduction

The Aero Commander 500 is a twin-engined piston engined aircraft built by the Aero Aircraft company.

Since 2017, Avionyx worked on an updated version, see the corresponding forum thread. See also the article on FGUK's website as well as the related hangar page.

The model

The Aero Commander model created for Flight Gear is a detailled model inside and out, and very pleasant in its appearance. Flying the model was easy enough, however I could not find out how to reduced power on landing and the aircraft floated on and on. Further tests will be made.
