Hi fellow wiki editors!

To help newly registered users get more familiar with the wiki (and maybe older users too) there is now a {{Welcome to the wiki}} template. Have a look at it and feel free to add it to new users discussion pages (and perhaps your own).

I have tried to keep the template short, but meaningful. /Johan G

The '''Lockheed C-130 Hercules ''' is a four-engine turboprop military transport aircraft built by Lockheed. It is the main tactical airlifter for many military forces worldwide.  Over 40 models and variants of the Hercules serve with more than 50 nations. In December 2006 the C-130 became the fifth aircraft—after aircraft — after the English Electric Canberra, B-52 Stratofortress, Tupolev Tu-95, and KC-135 Stratotanker—to Stratotanker — to mark 50 years of continuous use with its original primary customer, in this case, the United States Air Force. The C-130 is also the only military aircraft to remain in continuous production for 50 years with its original customer, as the updated C-130J Super Hercules.

=== Air to Air Refueling ===
As of 04/02/2009, The C130 C-130 from [[CVS]] is capable of receiving fuel by [[Howto: Air-Air Refueling|Air air-to Air Refueling-air refueling]](AAR). You can do Air to Air Refueling AAR by lining up behind the tanker and coming in contact with it as you would with any other AAR aircraft.
