ICAO-code
From FlightGear wiki
The first (or the two first) digit(s) of an ICAO-code identify the country. The last two (or three) are from the city near the airport. The ICAO-code for San Francisco International Airport is for example K (the code for the United States) SFO (the San Fransisco city code).
