Logo creation
This logo was created as follows:
- Start with the current FlightGear logo:
. - Open in the Gimp.
- Split the original logo into two layers for the graphic and the text.
- Expand the image canvas width to 1018 px.
- Use the text tool to write 'FGAddon' with 199 px font, and the font Adventure Semi-Bold.
- Copy the text layer and convert to a bitmap.
- Compress the text bitmap layer to match the width of the 'F' in the original logo.
- Use the eraser tool set to a solid 4 px circle with a hard edge to round the corners of the text.
- Decrease the amount of space between the 'F' and 'G'.
- Hide the layer with the original 'F'.
