Hi, I’m Kai Burghardt!
2007 to 2012 I used to be a sailplane student pilot at my home airfield of Uslar, located at the heart of Germany. Although I did my first solo flight in 2010, I don’t have a GPL (since 2012 SPL) yet, but wish to eventually finish that.
Because lights at airfields use color coding (e. g. to distinguish between active runways), my protanopia (red-green color perception impairment) bars me from flying at night. The FGFS (or in fact any FS) allows me to do flights nevertheless.
